ALTENPFLEGE 2018

Networked periphery for nursing beds: a successful trade fair for DewertOkin and partner EMB Leuchten.

Kirchlengern/Hannover, March 16, 2018: DewertOkin GmbH and EMB Leuchten GmbH are very satisfied with the results of their joint appearance at the ALTENPFLEGE 2018 trade fair. "The many visitors reflect the enormous interest in the drive and lighting solutions that we offer together with our long-standing partner EMB Lighting," states Dirk Flören, Head of Sales at Dewert. At EMB Lighting’s booth, visitors had the opportunity to find out about several Dewert products. These included the versatile MEGAMAT 2 single drive, the IPROXX 2 handset with Bluetooth® receiver, and the MCL II and MCL III battery-operated control units. The control units have a default configuration of four drives and two control keypads. They also feature an SMPS (either built-in or external) that comes optionally with a rechargeable battery port and charging circuitry. This provides manufacturers of nursing beds with improved versatility in the design of their products.

The Dewert control units can be equipped optionally with a voltage output, which may be used for connecting an additional reading light. Bed manufacturers benefit from a compact system that requires no additional power supplies for external components. At the trade fair booth, Dewert and EMB Leuchten demonstrated this using a connected Ravensburg II LED nursing bed light. Thanks to its illuminated limit switch and flexible arm, it is very user-friendly. Users can smoothly and reliably move the lamp into a desired position at any time. This sturdy bed lamp is made of impact-resistant plastic. It is quick and easy to install in its stand-up sleeves.

"Simple solutions that provide much functionality are becoming increasingly important in the nursing bed market," explains Flören. The combination of intelligent control technology and reliable lighting peripherals is just one example of how these exacting demands are met.
